Nigerian  Superstars Grace BFI London Film Festival 2016

The stars of 76, came out in glittering form in London’s West End to celebrate the launch of a film that has been described as “visually textured, educational, and thoroughly entertaining; not to be missed” by the UK Press.  The film stars renowned and notable Nollywood megastars Rita Dominic, Ramsey Nouah, Chidi Mokeme, IbinaboFiberesinma, MemrySavanhu, Daniel K Daniel (African best actor 2016) and Ada Ofoegbu. Additionally attending were Executive Producers Adonijah Owiriwa (also in the movie) and Tonye Princewill and a host of other gliterati.  At the centre of this very gripping romantic thriller is the charismatic, ‘Captain Joseph Dewa’, played by Ramsey Nouah who is indicted by the military for his alleged role in the notorious Nigerian coup of 1976.the-london-bfi-premiere-of-76-themovie-21-rnrd

The evening was well attended by a number of notable guests and also covered by media outlets from the BBC, The Daily Mail to multiple African press agencies.

The main stars of the film Ramsey Nouah and Rita Dominic were mobbed by fans, it look more than half an hour for them to leave the building.  Without a doubt, the highlight of the evening was the last minute arrival from Heathrow Airport of the movie’s respected Director Izu Ojukwu, who made it in the nick of time to attend the post screening Q and A session, to rapturous applause.
