lagos state pledges to rid state of criminal elements

Lagos State Government has assured that it would spare nothing until it rids the State of criminal elements.

This follows the confirmation of the release of the four pupils and teachers of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, who were abducted by suspected ex-Ijaw militants on October 6.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, the state government said the children have been reunited with their families after undergoing medical check-ups.

The statement urged residents to be more vigilant, security conscious and report all suspected persons and objects seen within their neighbourhood to the appropriate security agencies.
